Operating principle of Mini 200A Handheld Welding Machine YATO YT-81332:

1. Transformer:

• The welding machine uses a transformer to convert alternating current (AC) from the power source into high-intensity direct current (DC).
• This DC current will be used to create an electric arc, melt the metal and create a weld.

2. Hot start:

• The hot start function makes it easier to create an electric arc, especially useful when welding difficult-to-weld materials.
• When this function is activated, the welder will supply a larger current for a short time to create a stronger electric arc.

3. Electric arc:

• When the welding rod touches the welding material, an electric arc will be created between the welding rod and the welding material.
• This electric arc has a high temperature (about 3500°C) enough to melt the metal of the welding rod and welding material.
• The molten metal will mix together and create a weld.

4. Adjust current:

• The welding machine allows adjusting the welding current within the range of 10-200A.
• The welding current is selected based on the thickness of the welding material and the type of welding rod used.

5. Work cycle:

• Duty cycle is the proportion of time the welding machine can operate continuously in a certain period of time.
• For example, a duty cycle of 30% at 40°C means the welder can operate continuously for 3 minutes and needs a 7-minute break to cool down.
