Heating time: The soldering iron reaches operating temperature of 350°C in about 15 seconds, the hot air gun reaches temperature in about 10 seconds.
Operating principle of the electronic circuit soldering function:
1. Heating:
When the soldering machine is turned on, the heating element inside the 908D soldering iron (900M soldering tip) starts to operate.
A 24V voltage is supplied to the ceramic heating element, heating it up.
The temperature of the heating element gradually increases until it reaches the set temperature.
2. Temperature maintenance:
The integrated temperature sensor inside the heating element continuously measures the actual temperature of the soldering tip.
The machine compares the actual temperature with the set temperature.
If the actual temperature is lower than the set temperature, the machine provides additional power to the heating element to increase the temperature.
Conversely, if the actual temperature is higher than the set temperature, the machine reduces the power supplied to the heating element to maintain a stable temperature.
3. Cooling (when not in use):
If the automatic shutdown function after a period of inactivity is activated, the machine will automatically reduce the temperature to the set level (usually 200°C).
The soldering tip will maintain this low temperature until you start using it again.
Operating principle of the hot air blowing function:
1. Heating:
When the hot air gun switch is turned on, the brushless fan inside starts to operate, creating an airflow.
The ceramic heating element inside the hot air gun is also powered.
The airflow passing through the heating element heats up according to the set temperature.
2. Airflow adjustment:
You can adjust the airflow rate by the control knob on the hot air gun.
A higher airflow rate is suitable for applications requiring more heat transfer, while a lower airflow is better suited for more delicate components.
3. Automatic cooling and standby:
When the hot air gun is placed in the stand on the soldering machine, the fan continues to operate but at a lower speed to quickly cool the hot air nozzle down to a safe temperature (around 100°C).
Once the temperature reaches the set level, the standby function is activated, automatically turning off the heating element to save energy.
Instructions for using the electronic circuit soldering function:
Install soldering tip: Install the appropriate 900M soldering tip into the 908D soldering iron and tighten it.
Power on: Turn on the power switch on the soldering machine.
Set temperature: Select the soldering temperature suitable for the type of components and soldering materials using the temperature adjustment knob.
Wait for heating: Wait about 15 seconds for the soldering iron to reach the set temperature.
