The Yato YT-07890 electronic force scale uses the principle of elastic force sensing. The elastic force sensor is a system of flexible conductive cells attached to an elastic rod. When force is applied to the scale, the elastic bar expands and changes the electrical conductivity of the cells. Specifically, when placing an object whose force needs to be measured on the nozzle of the scale arm, the impact force of the object will cause the elastic bar inside the force sensor to bend. This bending changes the resistance of the conductive cells inside the force sensor. The electronic circuit inside the scale arm converts this resistance change into an electrical signal. This electrical signal is then displayed on the scale's LCD screen.
